It's finally warm to swim!

We had to take advantage of the warm weather and spend a couple of days at Downata. And we were out in the sun so much that we came home pretty crisp (meaning VERy sunburned). My family and us rented a cabin there and spent the days swimming, barbecuing, riding 4-wheelers, playing Mexican horseshoes, and roasting marshmallows. The kids loved playing outside with toys and swinging on the swings.
Avery loved playing in the sidewalk sprayers because warm water sprayed out from them. I don't know why she is still wearing her water wings!

The cabin we rented was big enough for all of us to stay in. It had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a very large kitchen to cook in. It was fun just to hang out together and let the kids run around outside.

Father's Day

I wanted to pay tribute to all of the fathers out there, namely Jason, my dad, and Randy. They are all men who have tremendous influences in our lives.

Jason is the BEST daddy to Avery. One of us has to be the fun loving one and he is it! He is always playing with Avery and keeping her busy. He is patient with her and teaches her so much. Thanks for being the best dad that you can be. You teach me how to be a better parent. I appreciate you and love you! Happy Father's Day!!

My dad is a great father who has always been there for me. Thanks dad for wanting to be with our family and providing such a great childhood for us. I will never forget all of the fun vacations we went on. Now that I am older we hope to create those fun memories in Avery's life. You are a wonderful father and grandpa and I love you so much.

Jason's dad is an amazing man who has taught us many lessons and molded Jason into the man he is today. He taught Jason the meaning of hard work, the love for learning, and his great adoration for the outdoors. Randy is doting grandpa who loves Avery. If he were here with her, he would be laughing his laugh when Avery did something funny. We love you and miss you like crazy!
